Community Advisory Committee Meeting January 20, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a group of parents, educators, and community members who are interested in supporting the educational needs of children with special needs. The CAC serves in an advisory capacity to the WOCCSE Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) by providing community input, concerns, recommendations, and guidance related to special education, including training and support needs. Meetings are held four times per year. The CAC strives to raise community awareness of special education and promote acceptance of diverse learning styles, as well as the educational and vocational supports needed to accommodate these differences. Additionally, the CAC supports the education of students of all ability levels and learning styles, advocates for the interests of children with disabilities and their families, and strengthens collaboration among educators and the community.
