Community Advisory Committee Meeting Community Advisory Committee (CAC)The Community Advisory Committee is a group of parents, educators, and community members who support the needs of students with disabilities and advise the SELPA and districts on training, supports, and community perspectives. Welcome Dr. Cammie Nguyen to WOCCSE! Dr. Cammie Nguyen joins HBUHSD as the Chief SELPA Officer for WOCCSE after spending the past five years as the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education and Student Services in the La Habra City School District. With over 20 years of experience in education with an emphasis on special education leadership, Dr. Nguyen holds a wealth of knowledge in coordination, communication, and collaborative leadership essential to effective consortium work. During her time as an assistant superintendent, Dr. Nguyen has led system-wide supports through special education, behavioral health, and crisis response, and was awarded as the Orange County School Counselor Advocate of the Year in 2023 by the Orange County Department of Education.
