WOCCSE Lighthouse Award – February

We are proud to recognize Fabian Rojano as our WOCCSE Lighthouse Award recipient for the month of February and the first classified team member from Huntington Beach High School District to receive this honor.

For more than ten years, Fabian has been one of the most hardworking, dedicated, and compassionate aides we have had the privilege of working alongside. He consistently supports some of our most significantly impacted students and shows up each day with patience, steadiness, and care. He offers kind words, communicates respectfully about his students’ needs, and approaches his role with genuine humility.

Fabian’s work often includes supporting students with complex medical, behavioral, and cognitive needs. This requires strength, calm under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to student safety and dignity. Fabian embodies all of this and more.

Recently, his persistence and consistency helped a student overcome a significant barrier that once felt impossible for the team. Through trust building and steady support, Fabian helped this student gain greater independence and access school transportation for the first time.

This is just one example of the many ways Fabian quietly makes a difference. He does not seek recognition, yet his impact is lasting and deeply felt.

Fabian, your work matters. Your presence matters. The world truly needs more people like you. We are honored to celebrate you as our February Lighthouse Award recipient. Congratulations to Fabian and the HBUHSD team.
