This workshop will instruct in supervision across the spectrum of supervisees from students to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants to Speech Pathologists completing their Required Professional Experience (RPE) with SLPAHADB updates in supervision explored and the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Scope of Practice (ASHA, 2013) and revisions to the updated ASHA Code of Ethics (2016). Supervision is a part of the SLP’s scope of practice! However, the “A, B, C’s” of preparation to supervise, planning and time management, encouraging growth of the supervisee and dealing with the realities of every day practice and caseloads can affect all SLPs and their supervisees! Strategies will be emphasized to handle supervision and clinical practice. Internet resources and technology will be identified and examined.
